Types of Diet Plans

The problem today in first world countries is not food shortage; it is over consumption of food by a single individual. It could be funny and ironic but that’s a reality. Obesity became the worldwide epidemic according to (WHO) or The World Health Organization; obesity related cases of diseases are actually widespread. It could be the result of lavish lifestyle or just being negligence of oneself, lack of discipline of eating and without any exercise.

Many people of today are well aware of sickness and diseases but they just keep ignoring all the health warnings from doctors and other informative mediums. But others are making steps to deal with this kind of problem; one is having a diet and doing a regular exercise. Diet is widely spread procedure popular today specially for the health conscious people and many of which are practice by Hollywood actors, models, sport enthusiast, trainers or just an ordinary people who are enjoying the benefits of doing it.

But diet is not only means to reduce oneself food intake and maintain a certain weight. There are several types and procedures of diet to choose from. One is called the Limit Carbohydrates with Protein Diet plans in which the idea is to reduce eating food rich in carbohydrates replacing it in eating food that is high in protein. Low calorie diet plan is reducing foods that are rich in calories or monitoring the amount of calorie intake in your food while low fat diet plan is controlling yourself in eating food that is high in fat content. Moreover, vegetarian diet plan is eating only fruits and vegetables and many other diet plans.

Other diets are for medical reasons such as Diabetic diet, DASH diet that is a dietary approach to stop hypertension, elemental diet, a liquid only diet consuming liquid that is rich in nutrients. In doing a diet, you must at least have a good research before jumping into it. There is much information to gain from the Internet or health books which can help you to decide what kind of diet fit for you.
